What is PPO? Polyphenylene oxide (PPO), also known as poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene) oxide, is a high-temperature engineering thermoplastic. It is a versatile material with excellent thermal and electrical properties, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. PPO is known for its high heat resistance, flame retardancy, dimensional stability, and good mechanical properties. It has high impact strength and is resistant to various chemicals. This makes it valuable in industries such as automotive, electrical and electronic, and industrial applications. PPO is a registered trademark, and the generic name is PPE.
